Those FUD-mongers ZDNet bring you Gnutella is Dead, Long Live Gnutella? I just can't take seriously these bitch and moan tactics about Gnutella's network issues; last I checked, Gnutella is version 0.56b right now, hardly ready for primetime, and banned by AOL. There's currently continued work on the system, and the current network is, IMNSHO, a test run. Fuck the RIAA.

Apparently, Justin Frankel created *yet another* program to piss off their corporate parents, AOL/Time-Warner. This one kills the AOL ads in AIM (Instant Messenger, or, lamerz cybersex). Damn that's ballsy.

9.13.2000 this article raises quite a few questions. like about the memory requirements: what the fuck do you have to do to make a *nix require more than 64megs of RAM? i suppose it's the virtual machining for running OS9 that maxes out the resources. one thing i gotta say though: at least Cnet is better than ZD, who apparently have never seen top before

we mentioned XS4ALL in episode 8. it's a giant dutch hosting and godonlyknowswhatelse site. but what we didnt realize, is that it also (used) to host everyone's favorite assembler only operating system v2_os. i knew that whoever was behind that shit had to be stoned off their ass.
